What is Medical Negligence?

It is an error made by a hospital, a doctor or other qualified medical person that results in some injury, loss or damage to you or failure to diagnose a medical condition.

It must be an error that no reasonable hospital, doctor or medical professional would have made.

If that is the case, it is called negligence.

For simplicity, from now on we will only refer to errors made by a doctor but remember that negligence can also mean mistakes made by a nurse, a General Practitioner (GP), dentist, hospital or anyone else involved in the medical profession that owes you a duty of care.
